We frequently get asked questions about our service and our range of blinds, or for advice on taking measurements and fitting blinds correctly. Here are our answers to the most common queries.

Do you sell blackout blinds?
We have a selection of blackout blinds in our Rollers range, which are perfect for cutting out light coming into your room. Or you can choose one of our Roman Blinds which have the option of a blackout lining.

What type of blinds would be best for my bathroom?
Bathrooms tend to be steamy, so it's best to choose a blind that can cope with these conditions. Venetians are good, although you may find that blinds from our wood Venetians range will warp. If you want a natural look, try our wood effect Venetians. These combine the look of wood with the practicality of aluminium blinds for the best of both worlds! Blackout Roller blinds are good in this environment and the most popular choice amongst our customers. We recommend you order free samples before you decide.

I want blinds for my conservatory. Can clickblinds.co.uk supply them?
You can order blinds for the sides of your conservatory from Click Blinds. If you have a uPVC conservatory, take care to avoid screwing into the sealed unit when fitting your blinds.

What's the difference between exact and recess?
When you place an order for a made-to-measure blind from clickblinds.co.uk, you'll be asked if your measurements are exact or recess. An exact blind will be made to precisely the measurements you entered onto the site. A recess measurement is needed for a blind that you would like to fit within the recess of your window. Measure the recess from wall to wall and let us have these measurements. We'll make all the necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. This usually means we'll deduct 1cm from the width of your blind. With Roller blinds, we also have to allow for fittings at either end of the blind as there is no headrail. This means the actual fabric is approximately 2.8cm less for an exact measurement and 3.3cm less for a recess measurement. For more information, go to the How to Measure page.

Do you sell blinds for Velux windows?
We don't currently offer blinds for Velux windows.

I live outside the UK. Can you deliver blinds to me?
At the moment clickblinds.co.uk only delivers to addresses in the UK Mainland.

How do I measure blinds for a bay window?
We recommend that you start by ordering the largest blind first. Once this is fitted, you can measure up for the remaining blinds using the edge of the headrail as your starting point. Our customers find that this is the most effective way of getting a great fit around a bay window - it prevents any gaps or overlapping.

The louvres of my Vertical blinds won't rotate. Have I done something wrong?
This sometimes happens if the louvres were originally hung onto the headrail whilst the hooks were in the closed position. You need to take the louvres off the headrail and then turn the chain round until the hooks are in the open position. This means that when you rehang the louvres, you'll be able to see through them and out of your window. Your louvres should now rotate without any problems.

The louvres of my Vertical blind are not in line with each other. What should I do?
This is easily rectified. Pull the control chain until the slats are in the closed position, then gently force the chain and they will realign. You may need to try doing this both ways. Don't worry if you hear a noise, that's perfectly normal.
